ECo Day Out 2013 Launch Event

On 27th of January, Ms Ong, Mdm Masnah and Ms Yip brought 20 members to the hardcourt next to Hong Kah North Community Club to participate in the ECo Day Out 2013 Launch Event organised by South West CDC, NEA and Hong Kah North GROs. The members had fun at the games booths, exhibits,showcases by companies and organisations on their technologies and efforts in sustaining the environment, as well as students’ initiatives and campaigns. Through the activities, they are more aware of the importance of environmental conservation and protection, and learned new ideas on how to conserve and protect our environment.

Second Day of CCA

Our second day of CCA included brief introduction of the club and activities planned for the first term. The members were all very excited and looking forward to the interesting events and activities that will be coming up. The club's blog was introduced to all members and they were encouraged to post comments on the blog ,and keep updates in their own blogs. Eight new members were invited to give a brief intro about themselves and their reasons of joining the club. Some of the seniors then shared about their learning journey with the club.

First Day of CCA

17th of January was our first day of CCA. It was also our recruitment drive day. We set up an exhibition booth with the displays of the following items:-
a) cells observation using microscopes and some cells.
b) lava lamp using recyclable bottles, torch light, cooking oil, food coloring, water, and eno/baking soda.
c) plant pressed bookmarks and lemon grass magnets  
e) other recyclable items
The response was overwhelming and the pupils enjoyed themselves in the activities provided at the booth.
